Family

I focus primarily on a family based approach in my practice. Many families have come to me after their child has been in and out of therapy with little to no improvement. Families often tell me that they "dropped their child off" and received little to no feedback from the therapist.

One of the most frustrating challenges as a parent is to seek help, but not get the help that you need. If the parent and child are struggling at home, bringing the child to therapy only to be told, "They are doing wonderful" is often not the help the family is looking for. Working with the family to understand the dynamics and challenges they are facing is essential.
